DMV Marriage Bureau (DMVMB) is a community-based matrimonial service supported by Dar Al Taqwa Islamic Center and the Islamic Society of Baltimore.

About DMV

Founded on the belief that marriage is one of the most important foundations of a strong Muslim community, DMVMB was created to help Muslims find compatible spouses through a process rooted in faith, trust, family involvement, and genuine human connection.

What began as an initiative at Dar-Al-Taqwa has grown into a collaborative effort serving Muslims throughout the DMV region. Our vision is to provide a meaningful alternative to the increasingly impersonal nature of online matchmaking, where individuals may encounter misleading profiles, false identities, and interactions that lack accountability.

At DMVMB, we believe that finding a spouse should not feel like navigating a marketplace of endless profiles. Instead, it should be a thoughtful journey supported by community, guided by Islamic values, and centered on sincere intentions.

During our events, participants benefit from the guidance and support of qualified imams, marriage professionals & licensed therapists.
Our commitment extends beyond simply facilitating introductions.
Their presence helps create an atmosphere of learning, reflection, and informed decision-making throughout the process.

In addition, a dedicated imam serves as an ongoing advisor and chaperone for the program, providing spiritual guidance and helping ensure that all interactions remain aligned with Islamic values and etiquette.
This unique combination of religious leadership, professional expertise, and community involvement offers participants and their families a level of support, trust, and accountability that is rarely found in conventional matchmaking services.
